Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays to everyone! This is an update. Since this summer, I have been quite busy. I began to work with an after school program as a science instructor as well as working as a substitute teacher for the local school district. I will keep you updated of my progress. This is the season for happiness, family, friends and fun. So enjoy. Talk with you next year!

and it is daylight somewhere?
It is flooding somewhere
We are in an extreme drought condition.
So what?
An ipod uses itunes
Other brands of MP3 Players use Windows Media Player.
So what?
An ipod is a brand of MP3 Players.

Today Is the First Day of Our Lives

I wrote this poem in March of 1980, when I was a senior at Southside High School, in Greenville, South Carolina. I wrote this poem for the High School Graduation. Looking at it now, I would write it differently. But this is what I wrote then;

Today is the first day of our lives
And our decisions must be wise
For together we stand at life's crossroad
With visions that must unfold.

This is the first day of our lives
Our goals must be worthwhile
For our decisions we make today
Will determine our way.

This is the first day of our lives
We must grow strong and true
For our striving has just begun
For life's most precious jewels.

Just Checking In

I have not written a post since August. I had not written any new poems or had any new thoughts to share. This blog is not really a daily log for me, I write in it when I think of something new. However, when I signed up for my professional development course, I linked this blog with my class blog for the course and so I said if anyone does come to this blog I will update this blog also. I do plan to write some new poems for this blog and when I do I will post it. As you can see I added a newsreel and a newsbox to this page. It was part of my class assignment for my class blog and I decided to do it to this blog to. Until the next time.
